Skyestone Breaks Ground On New 8,000 Square Foot Community Lodge

A couple of weeks ago, Skyestone, an award-winning community for 55-plus broke ground on its new 8,000 square foot community lodge. The project by Taylor Morrison Denver was designed by Douglas Fredericton of Arizona and hopes to bring the feel of modern living combined with the beauty of nature. Set against the FlatIrons, residents will be able to enjoy incredible views.

Year-round recreations at the new lodge include a swimming pools built with two lap lanes and a spa tub. A state of the art fitness center will allow for residents to workout no matter if it is snowing or sunny outside. Outdoor seating areas, as well as an event lawn, will be built for different events throughout the year. When residents are inside of the lodge, they will be able to enjoy a community library or mingling over coffee.

The interior of the lodge was designed by Emiko Design, Inc. of Parker, Colorado. The mountain theme incorporates different natural elements like stone and wood as well as neutral colors throughout. “The new lodge at Skyestone will be a marvel to see,” said Brian Cartwright, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Denver division. “It’s a stunning structure that reflects Colorado’s beauty while giving residents a truly amazing place to get out, have some fun and enjoy really great views, from morning ’til dusk.”

Since Skyestone is specifically catering to a 55-plus crowd, it offers two different styles of home. These styles include the Pinnacle Collection, with a square footage of up to 2,858 square feet as well as the Landmark Collection, which goes up to 2,247 square feet. The Landmark Collection boasts open floor plans, stylish kitchens and other upgrade options. The Pinnacle Collection offers wet bars in the kitchens as well as open living areas. Prices for the Landmark Collection start around mid $300,000 while the Pinnacle Collection starts around low $400,000.

The new lodge at Skyestone is projected to open sometime in the late spring of this year. For more information about construction and other updates, check out their website at
